Water City Care Mission was developed in response to Catholic Social Teaching’s Call to Family, Community, and Participation – that people have a right and a duty to participate in society, seeking together the common good and well-being of all, especially the poor and vulnerable.
Water City Care Mission is a Lay Catholic organization as recognized by the Diocese of Green Bay, commited to communicating in word and action the teachings and traditions of the Catholic faith.
Our Purpose: To promote the health and well-being of all individuals in the Oshkosh Community.
Our Mission: To serve the Oshkosh Community by increasing access to quality health and social services.
Our Vision: All members of the Oshkosh Community will have access to quality healthcare, safe housing, nutritious food, and other resources that are essential to fulfilling their individual potential.
Faith – We know that faith manifests itself in how we handle our day-to-day lives, how we treat others, and in our Catholic devotions. It is written on our hearts, and all of our actions are the result of our faith.
Hope – We know that hope allows us to totally trust in Jesus and to desire eternal bliss in heaven with him, forever. Hope will keep us going in the face of adversity, mockery, and dry times.
Charity – We are committed to love for God over all other things for His sake, and love of our neighbors as ourselves. Jesus left us two commandments – To love God with everything we have, and our neighbor as ourselves – And if we do these two things, then charity toward everyone, even our enemies, becomes second nature to our wills.
Dignity of Human Life – We believe that human life is sacred and that the dignity of the human person is the foundation of a moral vision for society. We believe that every person is precious, that people are more important than things, and that the measure of every institution is whether it threatens or enhances the life and dignity of the human person.
Community – We know that each person is not only sacred but also social. How we organize our society directly affects human dignity and the capacity of individuals to grow in community. Marriage and family are the central social institutions that must be supported and strengthened, not undermined. We believe people have a right and a duty to participate in society, seeking together the common good and well-being of all, especially the poor and vulnerable.
Water City Care Mission is a registered non-profit, tax exempt organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
